About
Welcome to OKOZUSHI by Megumi, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Brooklyn at 376 Graham Ave. This intimate sushi haven prides itself on delivering an authentic and delightful culinary experience that transports you straight to Japan, all while showcasing the beauty of simplicity in every dish.
From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a cozy atmosphere that perfectly complements the exquisite offerings on the menu. Customers rave about the excellence of the fish, with many claiming it rivals even the most esteemed omakase establishments. Notably, the Combo options, featuring a mouthwatering mix of Tuna and Salmon Nigiri accompanied by half rolls of Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon, are a must-try at just $30.95. Each bite reveals the fresh, quality fish that OKOZUSHI is known for.
If you’re in the mood for something more handheld, their Hand Rolls won't disappoint! Take your pick from the Spicy Tuna to the delicious Salmon Avocado, with each roll priced at a tempting $7.50. The attention to detail in these rolls encapsulates the ethos of OKOZUSHI, where quality outweighs quantity, making every bite worth savoring.
The brunch menu, available Friday through Sunday, has garnered particular praise. As reviewed by Jacklyn Liu, the presentation alone is worth the visit, showcasing not just good food but beautiful plate artistry. Although some customers have mentioned a greater emphasis on vegetables than fish in certain dishes, many still find themselves returning for other tantalizing options.
Alongside the delectable food, OKOZUSHI also offers refreshing beverages such as Ice Matcha Green Tea and both Still and Sparkling Saragota Water, each priced at $4.50, perfectly complementing your meal.
Moreover, the service here is consistently highlighted as exceptional. Several patrons, like Tenley Bailey and Joanne Suen, couldn’t speak more highly of the friendly, attentive staff, contributing significantly to the overall dining experience. Customers have described the environment as one that promotes relaxation, allowing you to thoroughly enjoy your meal.
In conclusion, whether you’re a local resident or just passing through Brooklyn, make sure to stop by OKOZUSHI by Megumi. This charming spot offers not just sushi, but a comprehensive experience of quality, atmosphere, and fantastic service. Your taste buds will thank you.
“ Very small intimate setting. I came for their brunch which they serve Friday-Sunday. The food was beautiful and the pickled vegetables were really good. The price to raw fish ratio was a little off to me (only about 8 pieces in my bowl; it was 60% vegetables). Definitely will come back to try the food again, although maybe their other dishes. Also, they do not request a service charge/tip. ”
“ I went here today for the first time with my dad. We had originally tried to go somewhere else, but last minute decided to go here. It was a very pleasant last minute decision! The service was amazing and the food was so good. The experience overall was perfect. Please please go here if you’re in the area! ”
“ Service was absolutely amazing! Better than omakase places I've gone to. There's a wide variety of fish and only a few seats for dine-in, but the atmosphere is nice. ”
“ The quality of the fish was really excellent. If you appreciate high quality fish then you'll like this place. Otherwise, it might feel a bit expensive. ”
“ Since I moved to this neighborhood a few months ago, I’ve been to OKOZUSHI several times. Such a lovely little spot with delicious food and lovely stuff. Great find! ”
“ This is my favorite neighborhood sushi spot! The quality of fish is incredible and you get such a good deal for your portion. The tuna salmon combo is great. The staff are super friendly and quick! Would highly recommend. ”
“ Movie night at home so I went to get Nigiri Omakase for takeout. 8 pieces of classic Nigiri Sushi Selections was great, fresh, delicious and good potion for my dinner. I'm glad this place is close to my home. ”
“ Really phenomenal and high-quality sushi - they source the seafood themselves, combined with their rich experience and unique, minimal style. The menu is creative (you choose only the portion, so kinda Omakase style). The blue-cheese sushi was mind blowing - that was my favorite that we ordered a special second portion just with that. The restaurant is small and minimal; it's really cute and has a peaceful vibe. If you have been to Okonomi or bought fish from Osakana, you might expected a sushi restaurant to come next from the owner. This place was begging to exist, now it's here. Good job. ”
